Archie ~ ADOPTION PENDING

Introducing Archie, a one-of-a-kind red roan gelding full of character! Archie was rescued alongside three herd mates in 2021. He was apparently bred as bucking stock, but he has shown no inclination to buck when mounted - apparently bucking isn't in his genes. At 5+ years old and standing about 14.1hh, he's a striking beauty, sturdy and sound. Initially arriving unhandled with a pushy, dominant attitude as a stud colt, Archie has transformed through gelding and training, becoming softer and more compliant while retaining his brave, inquisitive, playful spirit.

Archie absolutely loves human interaction, happily accepting haltering, grooming, and leading with ease. His willingness to cooperate extends to giving his feet, loads,ground ties and excelling in the round pen. Archie is in the Second Stage of SCCR training now as he takes to the trails with a rider and starts to develop more in depth riding skills ~ his enthusiasm to learn and be involved is unmatched.
