Daquiri

Daquiri the first week of June, 2022. She was nursing her own foal (Kahlua - now a yearling), and she has a 2 yr. old (Bud) with her as well. She is a little stand offish and protective when she is in proximity of her offspring, but if you catch her at the right time and place she is approachable and will stand for grooming at liberty - she loves bum scratches. She has been haltered several times, mostly for worming and vaccinations, but she is generally reluctant to be haltered. When she is haltered she leads well. There is a very good chance she was broke at some point, but we have not gotten close enough to her to really work with her yet. She is quite big, 16hh+, well put together, and is a stunning strawberry Dunn. She may have been a brood mare for a substantial part of her life, at least in recent years. There is a likelihood that once she is separated from her babies she will be much more amiable and approachable.

Daquiri needs a patient person who can win over her heart, and break through her trust issues.
