Meet Riley, a 15-year-old bay/blanketed Appaloosa gelding with a heart full of kindness and a lifetime of experience. At 15hh, Riley is the kind of horse who’s seen it all—he’s calm, patient, and a true “been there, done that” type of guy. He stands quietly for grooming, tacking up, and is great with his feet. He loads into the trailer like a pro and has a gentle demeanor that makes him a joy to be around.

Riley loves the outdoors, especially trail rides, though he does prefer having company by his side. Due to Moon Blindness (Equine Recurring Uveitis) in his right eye, which is common in Appaloosas, Riley feels more at ease when he’s not alone. After spending almost five years with little contact, Riley was understandably hesitant at first, but with patience and trust, he’s slowly opened up. Today, he’s eager to explore the trails with someone who can offer the confidence and guidance he needs.

Riley is up-to-date on his feet, teeth, and vaccinations, and he’s ready to give his heart to a special person who will appreciate his quiet nature and gentle spirit.
