Casper

Casper is a OTTB gelding likely in his late teens or possibly early twenties. He arrived in late fall of 2022, and is currently in a ‘Groom and Graze’ program with volunteers, and doing horsemanship sessions - largely because of his soft demeanour and well developed social skills - he always aims to please. He is very much a gentleman, kind and willing. He moves very fluidly and soundly on a lunge line, and his ground skills are very solid. Despite his age, he is full of vigor and happy to work. He has done time on the track and apparently also on the trails. Although we haven’t mounted him yet, we fully expect he is broke to ride - he was raced after all. Casper has melanoma’s, as is common with older greys, but they don’t appear to cause him any discomfort or other issues at this time. This sweet boy will make someone a lovely trail companion or equestrian mount!
